Black and Indigenous Relationships to this Land: A Conversation

This roundtable is a dialogue between African Black Canadians and Indigenous peoples in Canada—relationships to this land. Its purpose is to clarify what the bases of these relationships entail, in the interests of a deeper solidarity, love and respect for each other. Through this dialogue we hope to create a space for open conversations around Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Barrington Walker, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of History, Queen’s University.
Bonita Lawrence, PhD (Mi’Kmaw), Professor, Chair of the Department of Equity Studies, and Co-ordinator of the Indigenous Studies Program, York University.
