The Jim Cuddy Band

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2014 8:00PM

Presented by: BLACK MOON ENTERTAINMENT

When Jim got his first guitar at the age of ten, the first song he learned was Gordon Lightfoot’s “That’s What You Get For Loving Me”. Today, twenty-five years after the formation of Blue Rodeo, Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor are widely respected as one of Canada’s best songwriting teams. In 1998, Jim released All in Time which went on to sell Gold in his native Canada. His next album, 2006’s The Light That Guides You Home, was released to critical acclaim and won the Juno for Adult Alternative Album of the Year. On September 27, 2011 Jim released Skyscraper Soul, his 3rd solo album. His voice, always a voluptuous instrument, has never sounded better and Cuddy proves once again that his songwriting ranks with the best Canada has to offer.

Don’t miss out on the Jim Cuddy Band (Colin Cripps, Bazil Donovan, Joel Anderson, Steve O’Connor and Anne Lindsay), gracing the stage live at the Regent Theatre, to hear one of the best songwriters and vocalists in Canada.

Lunch at Allen's

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2014  8:00PM
Lunch at Allen's is a Canadian super-group featuring Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Church, Marc Jordan, and Ian Thomas. Their stage show is an intimate performance and musical review of Canadian and global hits (that each of the members has written), engaging storytelling, and humourous anecdotes. Marc Jordan and Ian Thomas’ songs have been recorded by everyone from Rod Stewart to Bette Midler, and Diana Ross to Santana. Murray McLauchlan’s hits have covered Canadian airwaves from coast to coast. And Cindy’s (the sweetest) voice and songs are well known on the folk festival circuit through her solo work and as a member of Quartette (with Sylvia Tyson). Together, it seems as though they’ve been playing for years though with an energy and freshness like they’ve just met.
