MELADRAMMA-AI
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2025  8:00PM

Presented by Ontario Tech Faculty of Business & IT and Dr. Carolyn McGregor AM

Dr Carolyn McGregor AM, first envisioned the groundbreaking integration of AI into this opera, an idea that inspired and shaped its evolution into a truly unique artistic innovation.  Meladramma AI is a chamber opera by an Albanian composer Olsa Toqi, premiering at the Regent Theatre.  Blending live performance, operatic voice and artificial intelligence, this innovative production reimagines the classical tradition for the 21st century.

Five singers, dancers, and immersive staging bring to life a story that explores humanity's eternal struggle with temptation, curisosity and the research for balance themes drawn from myth, religion and technology.

Featuring real-time AI integration, meladramma AI pushes the boundaries of the live theatre offering the audience a unique interactive, and visually stunning experience.
