Join Oshawa's acclaimed RESOUND Choir and special guests, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, in what is sure to be Oshawa's classical music event of the year.
Over 100 singers will be joined by a professional orchestra and soloists to present sparkling and genre-defying masterworks by UK composers. Benjamin Britten's raucous and whimsical Rejoice in the Lamb features dazzling orchestral colours and dramatic performances delivered by both choristers and soloists drawn from the renowned Sidgwick Scholar emerging artist program. Complementing this work is Karl Jenkins' intercultural Requiem, which blends the well known Latin requiem mass with stunning Japanese poetry. Western Classical styles are combined with traditional Japanese instruments, making this piece unlike any other choral masterwork.
