Imagine Festival: Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk in Concert

Raine Maida is the founding member and lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band, Our Lady Peace, and considered one of the best songwriters in music today. Maida also released his first solo album, The Hunters Lullaby, in 2007, and has written with and developed numerous indie bands, including, Men Women and Children, Die Mannequin, Green River Ordinance, Electric Touch, Sleepway, and Billy the Kid. With an insightful wisdom that belies her sweet voice, Winnipeg’s Chantal Kreviazuk has become one of Canada’s top music artists. The charming singer-songwriter-pianist began recording her luscious melodies in 1997, and her soulful sounds have garnered widespread acclaim across North America. Her first album, 1997’s Under These Rocks and Stones has sold over 100,000 copies and established Chantal both critically and commercially. Maida and Kreviazuk contributed to three songs for American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson: Where is Your Heart?, the international hit "Walk Away", and One Minute. Most recently, they co-wrote the song, Permanent, for seventh season American Idol Winner, David Cook. Other artists they have worked with include Martha Wainwright, Carrie Underwood, The Veronicas, Pink, Cheyenne Kimball, Katie Melua and Ron Sexsmith. This event is part of the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences Imagine Arts Festival to support mental health awareness.
