Presented by the CITY OF OSHAWA and the OSHAWA ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE in association with ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY - OFFICE OF CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUSTAINABILITY.
SEED: THE UNTOLD STORY follows passionate seed keepers protecting our 12,000 year-old food legacy. In the last century, 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared. As chemical companies control the majority of our seeds, farmers, scientists, lawyers, and indigenous seed keepers fight a David and Goliath battle to defend the future of our food. In a harrowing and heartening story, these reluctant heroes rekindle a lost connection to our most treasured resource and revive a culture connected to seeds.
This is a free annual event hosted by the Regent Theatre. Tickets are available at no charge in advance.

• 6:30 p.m. – Doors open for meet and greet, display booths
• 7:00 p.m. – Presentation(s), followed by screening of “SEED: The Untold Story” documentary film
• 9:00 p.m. – Door prizes awarded
• FREE admission, donations of non-perishable food items are appreciated
• Cash bar available
